The Plano Hillbillies are a group of music enthusiasts who share a common interest and passion for music. We believe that practice is necessary to grow as a musician and we want to create opportunities to sing, perform and have fun.
We are a relaxed, loose-knit collection of down-home musicians. Our repertoire includes Folk, Bluegrass, Country, Blues and other traditional songs.
We meet twice a month at a public venue to share musical knowledge and experience. Our current venue is the Plano Senior Center. Come early if you can, due to the center's policies we have to wrap up at 8:45 pm.
These meetups are mainly acoustic sessions. However, we understand that the bassists, autoharps and other quieter acoustic instruments need some help to be heard. Just use your best judgement for appropriate volume, if it's too much we let you know.
Our region is steeped in a rich history of music and we want to keep that tradition strong.

Our group meets twice a month on Thursdays at the Plano Senior Center. The Plano Senior Center has a very posh ballroom with a lighted stage, chairs, music stands and occasional spectators (who are a very good audience). In addition, the Center very nicely situated close to the US 75 and the President George Bush Toll way.
