Our next meeting:
The Bend Bluegrass June Meeting
My home is an optional meeting place if this works for all the attendees. It's a simple, though accomodating, setting. Please feel free to bring musical equipment, amps, cd's, music books, or just your ears and ideas. If you'd like to put in a special request for favorite snacks or beverages, I will accomodate. "Diane, Here are a couple of e-mail address of Verda Hinkle and Becky Brown: bendbluegrass@yahoo.com hinklebrown@bendbroadband.com They are pretty much the lynchpin around which a rather large local bluegrass community revolves. Send them an e-mail and the will get you up to date on all the happeings, which are quite signficant. Looks like I will meet in person you at the jam this coming Thursday. There is usually somewhere be 20 and 50 local acoustic musicians at these jams. Rob"

"Hi, Robert. Thanks for the note re. the school district bluegrass jams! If you have further info on specific locations and dates, will you please consider posting those here for our members? There are at least three people I'm sure would be interested. Thanks again, and welcome!"
-
"Dear Sunrise, how's it going with the ukelele search? You have picked [no pun here] a fine instrument. Please keep me updated, and thanks for the RSVP."
-

"Hello, I'm a newer resident here from other points in Oregon. I don't currently play an instrument, but own 2 harmonicas. I really want to learn to play the ukulele. I'm sure I could be coaxed into trying to sing...but no guarantees on the quality."
-
"Yo, Max!! How are you doing, these days? Heard any good music, lately? I got over to Music Makers and was awed by THAT shop, and bought several finger picks. Have 2 leads on private lessons...."
-
"Hi, After living in the Carolina's for many years, I have developed a love for bluegrass music and its origins. What a great idea for a meetup! I like to dance and have learned some of the clog dances from the Carolinas. "
-
"Hello, Good idea and I hope to meet other musicians and enjoy playing and learning new tunes! Hope to see you there!"

"My name's Diane Heath. I have been a music afficianado all my born days, really. I played 1st chair flute and piccolo in the high school band, but my initial roots stem from music first encountered in church. Also I picked up love for bluegrass."
