This meetup caters to an advanced beginner/intermediate level player. The jam happens every SECOND and FOURTH MONDAY of the MONTH -- even when I forget to post it on the site. As the jam has evolved, I have hired a rotating group of leaders who lead the jam from 7:30-9:30. This means that I must charge a $5.00 fee, so we can pay a leader. Each leader will choose 25-30 of their favorite bluegrass/old time songs. Click on the "Pages" tab at the top of the page for a description of our leaders and …

For everyone who loves bluegrass and old time music - whether your a long-time fan or new to the genre. Every Thursday Brooklyn's finest old timers will be playing at Two Moon in Park Slope. Let's get together and explore the rich history and cultural legacy of American mountain music while we hear great tunes!
We are a group of people who love to sing. Bluegrass harmony is easy to learn, so it makes the singing that much more enjoyable. We have 2 professional musicans/instructors who come with their guitars and voices. We meet from usually in the vicinity of Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY. The cost is $30 per person per class. This may sound like a lot, but we have great instructors, and the enjoyment and camaraderie make it worthwhile. I just found without the professional leadership the group would get s …

We could do Dylan, Beatles, Neil Young, blues, bluegrass, folk, etc as well. Didn't see many Jam Band meetups for guitarists, so thought this might be a good start. Just looking to have soem fun. All skill levels welcome.

These are usually blues, rags, bluegrass, country or also folk/modern, d …

Meet & jam with other local acoustic musicians. Moon Doggie provides a fun, informal, intimate coffeehouse atmosphere where first time or well-seasoned performers can't get booed off the stage - cause we don't have one! Everyone is welcome. Don't play an instrument? That's OK, too. You'll be singing along in no time!
